PROJECT
MANAGEMENT
TAC Centre utilizes
a project management concept in the installation of
communications solutions. Project management
is the systematic and detailed planning and execution
of the entire communications system with the installation
being broken down into measurable components.
TAC Centre Project Management
includes:
- A Comprehensive
Site Survey
- A Detailed Project Planning
Schedule (Microsoft Project Plan)
- Existing Cable Plan
Review
- Material Estimates
- Scheduling
of Database Collection & Training
- Milestone
Charts or Critical Path Methods (CPM) Charts
- Periodic
Forecast and Progress Reports
- Comprehensive Testing
Criteria
- Project Meeting(s) with Participation
- The
Development of the Master Job Book
The
Project Manager or PM assigns a Lead Technician and
Installation Technicians as the job requires. A System
Design Specialist (SDS) works closely with the customer
to review existing systems and make necessary changes.
The SDS is also responsible for providing End User
and Station Administration training for employees as
applicable.
Once
the Database Collection is complete, we require the customer’s
written approval before programming begins. This point
marks the “freeze” date for database changes.
Any changes after this “freeze date” are
deferred until equipment installation and cut-over are
complete.
Upon
receipt of equipment at the TAC Centre warehouse,
the Project Manager confirms the inventory as ordered.
The equipment is installed, programmed and cut-over
as purchased. Working with the Customer Contact, we
insure that all requirements are met.
TAC Centre technicians
input and verify the system database. They fully test
the entire solution and its functionality and verify
any integration. Acceptance testing with your company’s
project coordinator will begin as soon as possible
to assure your staff that the system is installed as
specified and all work is satisfactory. TAC
Centre on-site personnel record
and resolve user operational problems on the first
business day following system-over.
