To Benefit the Doug Flutie Jr. Foundation for Autism
Westwood, MA, December 5, 2005
TAC Centre,
Inc., an international telecommunications company,
today announced its sponsorship
of the 3rd Annual Flutie Bowl to benefit the Doug Flutie,
Jr. Foundation for Autism. The Flutie Bowl evening includes
celebrity bowling, a cocktail and hors D’oeuvres
reception, a live and silent auction and a performance
by the Flutie Brothers Band
The Flutie Foundation's mission is to aid financially
disadvantaged families who need assistance to care for
their children with autism. The Foundation funds may
also be used to finance education and research into the
causes and consequences of childhood autism. The Foundation
also serves as a clearinghouse and communications center
for new programs and services developed for individuals
with autism.
Doug and his wife Laurie, established the Doug Flutie,
Jr. Foundation for Autism in 1999 when their son, now
9 years old, was diagnosed with autism. They know that
not everyone is as fortunate as they to have the resources
for the educational opportunities and special equipment
Doug, Jr. needs to live a happy and rewarding life. They
know that every day thousands of families with autistic
children struggle to pay for similar services. The Foundation
provides these families with someplace to turn when they
need financial assistance.
“We know that autism is a disorder that affects
1 in 166 individuals. We feel that theTAC Centre needs
to help bring attention and much needed publicity to
the cause,” Mike Judge, President of TAC Centre
acknowledged. “The annual Flutie Bowl matches our
objectives perfectly, and we look forward to continuing
to sponsor the Foundation in the years ahead.” TAC Centre is an international telecommunications
solutions company based in Westwood, MA.
